First-graders at Fresno's Starr Elementary School greeted the Children's Hospital Central California helicopter as it landed at the school Monday morning.

The school's three first-grade classes collected 300 rattles, baby toys and books to donate to Children's Hospital. The effort was part of the Kind Kids Club program.

Hospital president and chief executive officer Todd Suntrapak flew with the hospital's mascot, George the Giraffe, landing on campus to accept the donations and thank the children.
