Old tires? Get rid of them for free Saturday in Fresno

Fresno's Community Revitalization Division will hold a waste tire amnesty day to allow people to get rid of their unwanted tires Saturday.

The event will be held at Edison High School, located at 540 E. California Ave. from 8 a.m. to noon.

Participants must be Fresno residents, and tractor, diesel and business-generated tires will not be accepted.

Each person is limited to nine tires per vehicle. Tires from the event will be taken to a recycling plant.
