The Fresno BeeMarch 5, 2014

A man accidentally drove his car through the entrance of a Clovis restaurant Wednesday, police said.

The man, driving a gray Dodge Neon, hit the pedal instead of the brake as he was trying to park at the China To Go restaurant on Fowler and Ashlan Avenues about 12:40 p.m. The glass of the restaurant was shattered as well as the adjacent storefront, police said.

Several people were inside the restaurant and one person sustained a minor hand injury.

The driver, whose name and age were not available, was taken to Clovis Community Hospital for observation. His wife told officers that he frequents the restaurant.
