UPDATE: Darian Marshall has been located and is safe, the Fresno Police Department announced on its Facebook page Wednesday morning.

-- A 12-year-old boy went missing in Fresno on Tuesday, the Fresno Police Department said.

Darian Marshall, a student at Edison Computech Middle School, was last known to be in the area of Clinton and Weber avenues about 3:20 p.m. after getting off a school bus.

Investigators believe Darian got off the bus before his stop because he was upset after being disciplined at school and possibly was avoiding going home to his parents.

This kind of behavior is unusual for Darian, and his family and school officials are concerned, police said. Darian is of mixed race, dark complected and was last seen wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, black pants, white shoes and a black backpack.
