2 health insurance fairs set for Fresno

Two health fairs to help people sign up for free and low-cost health coverage through Medi-Cal or Covered California are being offered in Fresno.

The events, sponsored by SEIU-United Healthcare Workers West, will be Friday from 3-7 p.m. at Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries, 1940 N. Fresno St., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at McLane High School, 2727 N. Cedar Ave.

Each person enrolling needs to bring: proof of identity such as a driver's license or passport; proof of address such as a piece of postmarked mail; proof of income such as tax filings from 2012 or the last 30 days of pay stubs; and proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate or permanent resident card. Each person enrolling must also provide date of birth, Social Security number, and home ZIP code.
