Coalinga event targets 'State of Education'

"Pass or Fail? The State of Education," a one-hour event featuring short films and discussion, is March 20 at the Lifetree Cafe in Coalinga.

The cafe is at 475 Sunset St. and the event will start at 7 p.m.

The program at the Lifetree Cafe, 475 Sunset St., begins at 7 p.m. and features filmed stories from Nikhil Goyal, author of "One Size Does Not Fit All: A Student's Assessment of School," and Sajan George, the founder of Matchbook Learning.

Participants in the Lifetree program will discuss the current state of public education and what changes might improve the system. The event is free, and snacks and beverages will be available.
