Braided ramps project construction nearing an end

Highway 180 and connector ramps from highways 41 and 168 will be closed for construction each night beginning Monday and continuing through March 8.

The closures will be the last before all new configurations of the braided ramps project open to permanent patterns.

Westbound Highway 180 and 168 connector ramps to southbound Highway 41 will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each morning.

Eastbound Highway 180 will be reduced to one lane Wednesday and Thursday at 9 p.m. and will be completely closed from midnight to 5 a.m. the next morning. Drivers headed east will have access to eastbound Highway 168.

The north and southbound Highway 41 connectors to eastbound Highway 180 will be closed Wednesday and Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Drivers coming from Highway 41 will have access to Highway 168.

The Cedar Avenue onramp to westbound Highway 180 will be closed at 11 p.m. Friday until midnight Saturday.

The following will be closed from midnight Friday until midnight Saturday: the northbound Highway 41 connector to eastbound highways 180 and 168; the southbound Highway 41 connectors to eastbound highways 180 and 168; the eastbound Highway 180 connector to eastbound Highway 168; the westbound Highway 168 connector to westbound Highway 180 and north and southbound Highway 41; the westbound Highway 180 connectors to north and southbound Highway 41; and the two right lanes of east and westbound Highway 180.

California Department of Transportation advises drivers to avoid construction zones by using alternate routes and to anticipate traffic delays.
