Tulare couple donates $2 million to wellness foundation

The Fresno BeeFebruary 28, 2014

A Tulare couple donated $2 million to the Tulare Wellness Foundation to create a partnership with Healthcare Conglomerate Association in an effort to transform Tulare Regional Medical Center into a leading healthcare provider.

Katye and Manuel Mancebo, Jr. pledged the money in a private reception Wednesday, the largest donation in the hospital's history.

Manuel Mancebo transformed Kings County Truck Lines, a milk transportation company, into a transportation leader. The couple hopes to do the same by partnering with the medical center.

The Mancebos own K&M Paint and Truck Repair.
