Crop duster sprays school bus in Stratford

The Fresno BeeFebruary 27, 2014

A crop duster sprayed a school bus filled with 14 kids in Stratford on Thursday, fire battalion chief Rick Smith said.

Smith said the incident happened in the area of Laurel Avenue near the Avenal Cutoff Road in Kings County.

Five of the children on the bus complained of headaches, but pesticides didn't come inside the bus because all the windows were closed, Smith said.

Smith said the children were evaluated by American Ambulance emergency workers at the scene, but he was unsure whether they were transferred to a hospital for further evaluation.
