Eighty minutes is nowhere near enough time to fully experience the Rogue Performance Festival, which started Thursday and runs through March 8 at 10-plus venues in Fresno's Tower District and downtown. More than 60 acts will give close to 250 performances at the theatre/dance/music and arts festival, which celebrates its 13th year.

Rogue spans two weekends and astute festival-goers will use every minute.

The annual event kicked off Thursday at the Tower Theatre with "Around the Rogue in 80 Minutes (or so)." This was a teaser performance, opening-night party and fundraiser all smashed into just over an hour.

Along with a staged show, there was a silent auction, photo booth and the start of the Rogue scavenger hunt (which runs throughout).

It also was a chance to make other Rogue Festival preparations, such as picking up the festival program or purchasing Rogue Bucks, to be used for entry to festival performances.

The official Rogue Festival T-shirt also was on sale.
