Open house scheduled for off-road vehicle grant in Sierra National Forest

The U.S. Forest Service will host an open house Thursday in Clovis to hear from the public on a grant application for off-road vehicle funding in the Sierra National Forest.

The open house will be at the Sierra National Forest Headquarters, 1600 Tollhouse Road, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The forest service is applying for grant money to develop, maintain, operate, expand, support or contribute to well-managed, high-quality, off-road vehicle recreation areas, roads and trails. The forest service would like the public's feedback on the draft of the application that will be submitted March 3.

Written comments can also be submitted to Sierra National Forest, attention Susan Burkindine, 1600 Tollhouse Road, Clovis, CA 93611.
