Annette Bushman was the top-producing insurance agent in January at Port Royal Insurance Services.

Michael Zentner was the top-producing loan officer in January at Royal Charter Mortgage.

London Properties announced January company honors: Joyce Brown, employee of the month; Larissa Sherman, advocate of the month; and leaders Rick Hauff team (top listings team), Darryl & Darin Zuber team (top sales team), Sandra Cox (individual top sales) and Shallee Guillen (individual top listings).

Thirteen California cotton industry members have been elected to leadership positions in the National Cotton Council (NCC) for 2014. The four local members are: Gregory W. Gillard, a Fresno ginner, re-elected director; John E. Pucheu, Jr., a Tranquillity producer, re-elected adviser; Cannon Michael, a Los Banos producer, Cotton Council International director; and Mark McKean of Riverdale, re-elected as the NCC's American Cotton Producers California chairman.

Yosemite Sierra View Bed & Breakfast has been accepted as a Gold Level GreenLeader into the new TripAdvisor GreenLeaders program, which helps travelers plan greener trips by identifying environmentally friendly accommodations across the U.S.

Girl Scouts of Central California South has elected a new board of directors. These individuals will serve for the 2014-15 year. They are: Jayne McCallister, chairwoman; Rebecca Malmo, 2nd vice-president; Keith Pretzer, treasurer; Susan Woods, secretary; and members at large Denise Flynn, Eloise Golden, Jennie Guadagno, Renee Haga, Carol Hernandez and Robirda Lyon.

Keith Swinger and Latishia Sharer, a Fresno Wells Fargo home mortgage team, earned the top 10% award in the nation for December.


The California Association of Realtors has honored Irma Soltero-Sparks with the statewide Bette Dobkin Award for 2013, recognizing her efforts in promoting C.A.R.'s Housing Affordability Fund.

New Faces

Lauren Noland has joined the law firm of Kahn, Soares & Conway, LLP, in the Hanford office. She will focus on estate planning and agricultural, environmental and water law.

Elizabeth M. Wu-VanOrnam, CPA, has joined Byers Accountancy Corporation, specializing in tax and audit.
