Fresno Chamber committee to host fracking forum

Assemblyman Jim Patterson, R-Fresno, will participate in a forum on hydraulic fracturing in Fresno on Friday.

The forum will be held at the Fresno Greater Chamber of Commerce Boardroom, 2331 Fresno St., from noon to 1:15 p.m.

The event will be hosted by the Fresno Chamber of Commerce E.A.R.T.H. Committee. Fracking is the practice of using high-pressure steam and chemicals to break up underground rock formations and release oil.
