Fresno State roundup: Free women's basketball tickets ... Wild to US volleyball tryout ... Diver Prigge 4th at MW Championships

Fresno State is offering vouchers for up to four free tickets to the women's basketball team's final regular-season home game against San Jose State on March 7 at the Save Mart Center.

Bree Farley and Taylor Thompson will be honored in a "Super Senior Sendoff" before the opening tipoff at 7 p.m.

The voucher can be printed out at and must be returned to the Save Mart Center box office in person before game day for the tickets.

Fresno State volleyball star Wild picked for U.S. tryout

All-Mountain West volleyball star Korrin Wild of Fresno State has been selected to try out for the United States women's volleyball national team Friday through Sunday in Colorado Springs.

Wild -- an outside hitter who finished in the top 10 on Fresno State's career lists for aces (third, 136), aces per set (third, 0.31), digs (fifth, 1,203) and kills (sixth, 1,256) -- will bat at the U.S. Olympic Training Center with 247 other athletes from 106 universities competing for spots on the national team and/or collegiate national teams.

Bulldogs diver Prigge fourth at MW championships

Hannah Prigge placed fourth in the 3-meter diving with a score of 314.91, improving from her Day 1 ninth-place finish in the 1-meter dive for the Fresno State swimming and diving team at the Mountain West Championships in San Antonio.

Junior Lucy Titchin swam a personal-best in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing in 4 minutes, 54.52 seconds for 15th place.

The meet continues today and concludes Saturday.

Former Clovis West golfers help Cal keep lead in Hawaii; Bulldogs trailing

Cal golfers Michael Weaver and Pace Johnson, a pair of former Clovis West High stars, remained among the top 10 after the second round of the John Burns Intercollegiate, helping the Bears open a nine-stroke lead at Wailua Golf Course in Lihue, Hawaii.

Brigham Young's Justin Keiley leads individually at 10-under 134, four strokes ahead of Cal's Joel Stalter. Weaver enters today's final round tied for fourth six strokes back after a 2-under 70 and Johnson is tied for eighth after his 2-under 70 put him at 141.

Fresno State's Nate Jessup shot 1-over 73 and is tied for 23rd, and teammate Keenan Nelson shot even par and is tied for 35th. The Bulldogs are in 16th place among the 17-team field.

Track and field: Vaulter Weaver sets personal best

Fresno State sophomore Caroline Weaver set a new personal record in the pole vault Monday at the Run for the Dream meet, clearing 11 feet, 10 inches to tie for second in the university division at the Save Mart Center.

MW adds soccer member

Colorado College will compete in the Mountain West Conference as an affiliate member in women's soccer starting this fall, bringing the total number of teams to 12.

The Tigers mainly compete at the Division III level, with the exception of men's ice hockey and women's soccer.
