Police arrest 2 at central Fresno chop shop

The Fresno BeeFebruary 20, 2014

Two Bulldog gang members were taken into custody during a chop shop investigation in central Fresno on Thursday afternoon.

A tip from a citizen led the Fresno police auto theft team to a home in the 2200 block of East Weldon Avenue. When officers moved in to check on the home, they found a car that was stripped.

Officers set up surveillance and spotted the two men driving away in a car. Police arrested the men, both in their 30s, and found tools inside the car that were used to take vehicles apart.

Neighbors told officers the men were selling the parts on Craiglist and Ebay.
