White powder scare at Fresno IRS center turns out to be flour

Twenty-five Fresno Internal Revenue Service workers underwent a precautionary decontamination Wednesday night after they were exposed to a white powder, the Fresno Fire Department reported.

The substance turned out to be flour, the Fire Department said.

The incident occurred at the IRS center in the 5000 block of East Butler Avenue, where income tax returns are received and processed. Information about how the workers were exposed was not provided.
