Warm weather, no rain for Valley this week

The Fresno BeeFebruary 17, 2014

Valley residents can expect mild weather in the coming week, with warm temperatures and no rain in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service in Hanford.

Temperatures will remain in the upper 60s throughout the week and climb into the low 70s by the weekend, said Daniel Harty, a weather service meteorologist.

Any rainfall will stay in Northern California and dissipate before reaching the Valley. Instead, temperatures will remain about 10 degrees warmer than usual for this time of year. The high for Tuesday is 67, and by Sunday the high is predicted to be 74.

Conditions will be a bit gustier on the west side of the Valley on Wednesday, Harty said. Winds will be at 10 to 20 mph Wednesday afternoon.
