FFA Field Day set for West Hills' Farm of the Future

West Hills Community College Coalinga will host its second FFA Field Day at Farm of the Future March 8.

Registration is free and will begin at 7 a.m. with competitions starting at 8 a.m.

Future Farmers of America competitions will include best-informed greenhand, land judging, farm records, coop quiz and light horse judging.

There will be an ag mechanics competition with a participation cost of $15 a student.

Buckles will be awarded to individuals in first place, and plaques will be awarded to first-place teams. A sweepstakes trophy will also be awarded.
