Fresno County schedules mental-health updates

The Fresno BeeFebruary 15, 2014

Fresno County mental-health officials have scheduled three community meetings this month to update the public on Mental Health Services Act programs and on the department's three-year planning process.

Staff from the county's Department of Behavioral Health will answer questions about programs, funding and plans for programs. Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) programs are funded through the statewide "millionaire's tax."

The public meetings will be: Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Fresno County Plaza Ballroom, 2220 Tulare St., Fresno; and Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Campus, 3333 E. American Ave., in the courts building, room A123; and 3-5 p.m. at the Kerman Community/Teen Center, 15101 W. Kearney Plaza.

Visit throughout the day for breaking news and updates.
