U.S. Rep. Jim Costa said during a 15-minute news conference in the Fresno-Yosemite International Airport after President Barack Obama's departure that Friday was his first trip on Air Force One.

"It's an honor and privilege as an American to fly with the president and clearly, as members of Congress, we have a lot of meetings and we get together, but you don't always get the one-on-one conversations you would like to have," the Fresno Democrat said. "Clearly, flying across the country today gave me some opportunity to have those one-on-one conversations that reflected the people of our Valley."
