A man and woman were arrested in Visalia Thursday after police found drugs and an 18-month-old child in their car, police said.
Police said they saw Curtis Wayne Severns, 41, in the area of County Center Drive and Campus Avenue around 4:20 p.m. engaging in what seemed to be drug-related activity.
Police approached and found Kaycie Marie Lower, 32, and her 18-month-old child in the car with him, along with two and a half ounces of methamphetamine, more than two pounds of marijuana and other drug-related materials.
Severns was booked into the Tulare County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, child endangerment and several other charges. Authorities said Severns has been arrested several times before for selling drugs, and was on probation.
Lower was taken into custody for child endangerment.
