Valley's Community Food Bank gets $30k grant for hunger relief

The Community Food Bank based in Fresno has received a $30,000 contribution from CoBank, a member of the Farm Credit System.

The funds will be used to support the Food Bank's local hunger-relief programs.

The contribution is part of a two-year, $1 million commitment CoBank made in 2012 to Feeding America members in 16 states.

The Community Food Bank serves Fresno, Madera, Kings and Kern counties, collecting and distributing more than 26 million pounds of food to these areas each year.
