Mexican consulate in Fresno to host college fair

The Consulate of Mexico in Fresno will hold its first higher education fair on Saturday.

Universities including Fresno Pacific University, Fresno State, the University of California at Merced, San Joaquin College of Law and a university from Mexico, Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla will be providing informational workshops.

Participants will receive information on how to reach their educational goals and how to pay for college. Other services including flu shots, informative forums on how to obtain U.S. citizenship, immigration lawyers providing free consultations and help with Deferred Action for Early Childhood Arrivals applications, will be provided at no cost.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the consulate at 7435 N. Ingram Ave., Fresno.
