Dense fog expected throughout the Valley this week

The Fresno BeeFebruary 11, 2014

Dense fog is expected to roll into the San Joaquin Valley in the early mornings and late nights until Friday, the National Weather Service said.

Meteorologist Modesto Vasquez said the fog is expected to start developing around midnight Tuesday and won't begin to lift until about 9 a.m.

Fog is expected through the central San Joaquin Valley, but the densest fog will be from Fresno northward, the National Weather Service said.

Daytime temperatures for the week should stay in the low to mid 70s throughout the Valley, with nighttime temperatures in the low to mid 40s, Vasquez said.

Vasquez said the fog will start to decrease over the weekend with daytime temperatures remaining in the lower 70s Saturday before dipping to the low 60s Sunday.
