The man whose body was found in a Clovis canal Sunday afternoon has been identified as Dustin Davis, 32.

The Fresno County Coroner's Office released the man's name Monday. Investigators did not have details about where he lived.

The man's body was found at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday by people walking along the Gould Canal near Peach and Ashlan avenues, according to Clovis police. Janet Stoll-Lee, a Clovis Police spokeswoman, said detectives had no additional information.

The coroner's office indicated that Davis' death was accidental.
