Legislators push for jail realignment

Assembly Member Jim Patterson, R-Fresno, and state Sen. Andy Vidak, R-Hanford, host a news conference Friday afternoon to encourage support for new legislation that would require "serious, long-term felons" to serve their time in state prison. The legislators say they're combating realignment that sends some long-term offenders to county jails.
