Police: Man's death in Fresno a suicide
A man found dead on North Millbrook Avenue in northeast Fresno on Thursday committed suicide, police said.
The man, 72, from Coarsegold, shot himself while sitting on the bumper of his truck that was parked in front of Crystal Springs Apartments — near Millbrook's connection with Herndon Avenue — where a family member lives, said Fresno police Lt. Joe Gomez.
A worker nearby saw the man's body on the street and called police, who were dispatched around 2:25 p.m. There is no indication of foul play, Gomez said.
