Covered California Fresno call center holds jobs testing Saturday; applicants must pre-register

The Fresno BeeFebruary 5, 2014

Covered California, the state's health-insurance exchange, will be testing applicants Saturday for jobs at its Fresno call center. Candidates must pre-register online for one of 400 examination slots for jobs as a Program Technician II and 200 slots for the Program Technician III examination.

Applicants must pass the exam, which covers reading, writing and math, to be eligible for hiring by the state. The Fresno center opened in October, when it began training employees, and had more than 100 workers by last month. The state anticipates hiring another 350 employees at the Fresno center starting in March.

The testing sessions will be held at the call center, 7201 N. Palm Ave. No one will be admitted for the exam if they did not register online. Details and registration for the Program Technician II jobs are available at exams.spb.ca.gov/exams/pt2, and for the Program Technician III jobs at exams.spb.ca.gov/exams/pt3.
