A winter weather advisory above 5,000 feet in the Sierra for early Thursday has been issued by the National Weather Service.
The advisory will last from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. The forecast calls from four to seven inches of snow at that elevation. Key locations include Camp Neslon, Giant Forrest, Lodgepole, Shaver Lake, Huntington Lake and Fish Camp.
Winds may gust as high as 65 mph from the over the Sierra's crest.
