A tip from federal agents led to the arrest of an Armona man for allegedly making and distributing child pornography on the Internet, the Kings County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.
Joshua Beiter, 33, posted an inappropriate photo of his stepdaughter on a pornography website, and left comments suggesting he wished to sexually abuse the child, said Karl Anderson, an investigator with the District Attorney's Office.
The tip came in Tuesday from the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations in the course of a nationwide investigation.
Within hours, officials from the District Attorney's Office, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations — all members of the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force — raided a home in the 10000 block of Sunflower Circle in Armona.
Beiter is being held at the Kings County Jail on $52,000 bail.
It does not appear the girl was sexually assaulted and authorities left the children in the home in their mother's care, the District Attorney's Office said.
