James Ford named president of Central Valley Community Bank

The Fresno BeeFebruary 4, 2014

James M. Ford is the new president of Fresno-based Central Valley Community Bank, starting the job as of Feb. 1. It is part of a leadership transition within the bank's parent company, Central Valley Community Bancorp, for the retirement this year of longtime president and CEO Daniel J. Doyle.

After Doyle announced his intention to retire as CEO of the bank at the end of 2014, the company's board divided the previously consolidated posts of president and CEO of the bank. Doyle will continue to serve as CEO of the bank and as the holding company's president and CEO. Doyle, who has been with CVCB since 1998, will remain on the holding company's board after retirement from the bank and become chairman of the board.

Ford most recently was the president and CEO of PremierWest Bank in Oregon. His 30-year banking career includes posts at Bank of the West in Walnut Creek, Union Safe Deposit Bank in Stockton, Fifth Third Bank in Ohio and Wells Fargo Bank in Oregon.
