Closures planned for Highway 180 project through Fresno

Another round of nighttime lane and ramp closures are planned this week on the Highway 180 "braided ramps" project between highways 41 and 168 in central Fresno. The closures will affect traffic starting at 10 p.m. each night and continue through 6 a.m. the following morning.

The closures include:

  • The Chestnut on-ramp to westbound Highway 180 will be closed Monday night.
  • Westbound Highway 180 will be reduced to one lane on Monday and Tuesday nights.
  • The connector ramp from westbound Highway 180 to southbound Highway 41 will be closed each night starting Monday night through Saturday.
  • The connector ramp from southbound Highway 41 to eastbound Highway 180 will be closed Wednesday night. It will also be closed from midnight Friday night until 5 p.m. Saturday.
  • The connector ramp from northbound Highway 41 to eastbound Highway 180 will be closed Thursday night, as well as from midnight Friday through 5 p.m. Saturday.
  • The Abby Avenue on-ramp to eastbound Highway 180 will be closed from midnight Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday.
  • All eastbound lanes of Highway 180 will be closed starting at midnight Friday through noon Saturday. One lane of the highway will reopen at noon Saturday, but the remaining lanes will be closed until 5 p.m. Saturday.
