Visalia roadwork sets lane closures

A widening project on Highway 216, also known as Houston Avenue in the city of Visalia, will require daytime lane closures this week for several connecting streets in northeast Visalia.

    • The right-hand lanes on northbound and southbound Lovers Lane will be closed between Sweet Avenue and Golden West Avenue from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday and continuing through Feb. 7.

  • The right-hand lanes of northbound and southbound McAuliff Street will be closed between Houston Avenue and Sumpter Court from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting Monday and continuing through Feb. 7.


  • Houston Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Lovers Lane and McAuliff Street between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day this week. Flag persons may control traffic depending on work needs and delays may occur.
