Clovis seeks applicants to planning, personnel commissions

The Fresno BeeJanuary 29, 2014

The city of Clovis is seeking candidates for its planning and personnel commissions.

Planning commissioners act as an advisory board to the City Council, evaluating land-use goals and plans. The Planning Commission examines proposals to ensure that development proposals fit adopted city plans.

The Personnel Commission serves as an advisory board to the City Council by providing oversight of city personnel rules, regulations and competitive services. The Personnel Commission also conducts oral examinations for entry-level positions, certifies candidate lists and hears appeals to personnel actions.

The Clovis City Council will make final decisions on appointments to both commissions.

The deadline to submit applications is 3 p.m. Friday, March 16.

Information and application materials about the commission seats are available through the city manager's office at (559) 324-2060.
