The Fresno BeeJanuary 29, 2014

Fresno Unified high schools are hosting a series of financial aid workshops to help students apply for college grants and loans.

Students who attend will get help submitting their Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, or FAFSA, which is required to determine eligibility for a number of federal and college aid programs.

Schools are encouraging students to bring several documents such as their driver’s license, income information, and tax and social services forms, which are required to fill out the FAFSA application.

The workshops will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates:

Jan. 29, McLane High
Jan. 30, Roosevelt High
Feb. 4, Bullard High
Feb. 5, Hoover High
Feb. 6, Fresno High

Fresno City College also will host a workshop on March 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
