Leadership Fresno Class 30 wants to come up with a "Welcome to Fresno" sign to post along highway entrances to the city, and it's asking the public's help to decide which design is best.
Fresno is one of the few cities in California without a welcome sign, the leadership group said. It is working with the Fresno City Council and Caltrans to create a sign that it hopes will welcome visitors and generate pride for area residents.
The group is taking the three designs on a public tour, starting Thursday at Fulton Mall Cart Hop. It will have the display at Riverpark (between Teazers and Yoshino's) from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and at Fashion Fair Mall from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Residents can vote at either place while the display is up.
Residents can also vote via Facebook at www.facebook.com/Welcometofresnosign
