2 Fresno-area residents appointed by Gov. Brown to fair board

Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed two Fresno-area residents to the Big Fresno Fair board of directors.

Linda Mae Balakian Hunsucker, 64, of Clovis, and William White, 49, of Fresno, were appointed to the 21st District Agricultural Association.

Hunsucker, a Democrat, is a member of the Coalition of Labor Union Women, the Fresno County Democratic Women's Club and the UFCW Women's Network.

White, a Republican, has served on the board since 2007. He has worked at Baker Manock & Jensen as an attorney since 1990. He earned his degree at Hastings College of Law. White is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the California Medical Legal Committee, the Fresno County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

The board positions are unpaid.
