Wathen Castanos opens two new communities

Wathen Castanos Hybrid Homes is celebrating the grand opening of two new communities this month one of which is home to the builder’s new Zero Net Energy home.

Artisan is open at Harlan Ranch in northeast Clovis at Shepherd Avenue and Highway 168. The community has single- and two-story homes that vary in size from 1,622 to 2,495 square feet and have up to six bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms.

Prices start in the high $200,000s and low $300,000s. Eighteen homes were sold before last week’s grand opening, the builder said.

On Wednesday, the builder unveiled its Zero Net Energy home in the new Sagecrest Estates community in Visalia at Demaree Street and Modoc Avenue.

The zero net energy home produces as much energy as it uses through high efficient design and solar panels.

Sagecrest has large single-story homes that range in size from 1,695 to 2,560 square feet. The houses have up to 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms. Prices start in the mid $200,000s.
