The head of State Center Community College District has made it to the second round of interviews for a job in Louisiana.

Deborah Blue, chancellor at State Center, is one of four vying to be president of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.

Blue and six other finalists interviewed on Tuesday with the system's search committee. That group has since narrowed the pool to four. The other finalists include:

• Marie Gnage, president of West Virginia University at Parkersburg;

• James Henderson, chancellor of Bossier Parish Community College in Louisiana;

• Monty Sullivan, chancellor of Delgado Community College in Louisiana.

The remaining candidates will interview with the system's Board of Supervisors on Jan. 29 in Baton Rouge.
