Police seized a .30-06 rifle and 144 rounds of ammunition Wednesday after pulling over a vehicle in central Fresno.
After Violent Crime Impact Team officers made the traffic stop near Yosemite and Voorman avenues, officers learned the driver, Christopher Copeland, 41, was on federal probation for explosives-related offenses.
Officers did a probation compliance search at Copeland's apartment and found the rifle and ammunition. Copeland was arrested on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and was booked into Fresno County Jail.
