A Porterville man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of stealing farm equipment near Exeter, Tulare County District Attorney Tim Ward said.
Tim Ballin, 35, was charged with one count of burglary and one count of grand theft after he allegedly removed agricultural equipment from a packinghouse in the Exeter area.
Ward said investigators had placed surveillance equipment at the packinghouse earlier that week after previous thefts.
Investigators responded to the burglary that morning and Ballin was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Tulare County Main Jail, Ward said.
