Fresno's Porsche and Audi dealerships have changed hands and joined the migration of luxury auto brands to the area around the intersection of Palm and Herndon avenues in northwest Fresno.
Al Monjazeb, who last year bought Weber BMW and changed its name to BMW Fresno, is the new owner of Audi Fresno and Porsche of Fresno. Both the Audi and Porsche brands were formerly part of the Michael Automotive dealerships at Blackstone and Bullard avenues.
All three of Monjazeb's Fresno stores are in the Palm Bluff Corporate Center on Palm Avenue, north of Herndon Avenue. The Audi and Porsche dealerships moved in October to a vacant showroom, built in 2008, that formerly housed Weber BMW's used-car sales operation.
Monjazeb has been involved in the auto industry for more than 30 years, starting with an auto dealership in San Diego. He owns Bentley, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships in Washington.
