A Monday morning fire damaged a vacant house sometimes occupied by transients southwest of Fresno, the Fresno County Fire Department reported. The fire was reported shortly before 8 a.m. at Annadale and Valentine avenues. Department spokesman Ryan Michaels said firefighters had come to the address several times in the past to put out debris fires. He said it was possible Monday morning's fire was intended to warm people occupying the house.
Fire investigators are assessing the cost of damage.
