The Fresno BeeJanuary 7, 2014

The Avenue 7 on-ramp to southbound Highway 99 in Madera County will be closed Wednesday while a guardrail is repaired, The California Department of Transportation said.

Caltrans said the ramp will close at 7 a.m. and is expected to stay closed until 5 a.m. Thursday.

The southbound Highway 99 No. 2 lane, which is just north of Avenue 7, will also be closed for safety reasons during the repairs, Caltrans said.

The California Highway Patrol will be on site to provide extra traffic support and enforcement for this emergency project, and scheduled closures and times are subject to change, Caltrans said.
