Driver sought after woman killed in Highway 41 hit-and-run

Authorities are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a woman Tuesday morning on Highway 41 just north of the Highway 99 interchange.

The 42-year-old woman was on foot in the southbound fast lane when she was hit by an unidentified car, the California Highway Patrol said. She was thrown into the center divider and sustained fatal injuries. The driver continued on.

Motorists reported seeing the woman's body shortly after 7 a.m.
