Vidak hosts session on avoiding identity theft and online predators

State Sen. Andy Vidak, R-Hanford, will host a meeting about identity theft and online predators Friday in Bakersfield.

Vidak, investigators Peter Phurchpean and Ryan Duplissey, California Highway Patrol's computer crimes investigation unit and Kern County Department of Aging and Adult Services, will team up to address identity theft prevention, social engineering, online predators and resources for seniors.

The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the St. John Manor, located at 900 Fourth St. in Bakersfield.
