A small attic fire damaged a home in southeast Fresno on Saturday evening.

The fire was reported at 6:03 p.m. at 909 S. Boyd Ave. at a duplex and was extinguished by 6:10 p.m., Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Chuck Tobias said.

Four adults and four children were displaced because of electrical damage to the residence. They are staying in temporary housing arranged by the Red Cross. There were no injuries.

Boyd Avenue would be closed between East Kings Canyon Road and East Lane Avenue for about one hour, Tobias said.
