Hannah Benoit-Bucher

Vitals: Junior, Buchanan

Qualified because: Repeat Bee All-Star placed second in the Central Section Division I final at 18 minutes, 1 second over Woodward Park's 3.1-mile course. Only Bee Runner of the Year Leigh Moffett of Clovis North (17:25) was faster in the section for the season.

Rosalba Gomez

Vitals: Senior, Corcoran

Qualified because: East Sequoia League champion won the section D-IV gold (19:28) and placed 35th in the state (19:33).

Justice Hinojosa

Vitals: Senior, Buchanan

Qualified because: Has lettered for three section D-I championship teams, the latest assisted by her eighth-place finish (18:34). Then finished 43rd in the state (18:35).

Miranda Kennedy

Vitals: Junior, Buchanan

Qualified because: Another three-year varsity runner for the section's best, she placed sixth in the section (18:27) and 41st in the state (18:34) in D-I races.

Lauren Moffett

Vitals: Sophomore, Clovis North

Qualified because: Younger sis to Bee Runner of the Year Leigh Moffett? Yes, but look out in the next two years for this one after she finished fourth in the section (18:12) and 28th in the state (18:21).

Maddy Nikkel

Vitals: Senior, Buchanan

Qualified because: Three-time Bee All-Star fought through an injury to place seventh in the section (18:31) and 31st in state (18:24) D-I races.

Gabby Satterlee

Vitals: Sophomore, Central Valley Christian

Qualified because: First-time cross country runner and Bee Rookie of the Year finalist ran 19:09 and 18:52 while finishing first and fifth in the section and state D-V races. And the Cavaliers placed first and second as a team in them.

Shani Slabber

Vitals: Sophomore, Central Valley Christian

Qualified because: First in her class academically and daughter of South African immigrants, she repeated a second-place D-V finish (19:10) and also joined Clovis North's Leigh Moffett and CVC teammate Gabby Satterlee as the section's only female state medalists by hitting the line ninth (19:18).

Mikayla Sodersten

Vitals: Sophomore, Clovis

Qualified because: Repeat Bee All-Star once again fought through injuries — a patella problem being the latest — to place third in the TRAC (18:39), third in the section (18:08) and 27th in the state (18:18) in D-I races. She ran 17:41 a year ago.

Jordyn Zorn

Vitals: Junior, Monache

Qualified because: Followed a Bee All-Star season as a sophomore by capturing a second-straight section D-II gold (18:12) and placing 16th in the state (18:17). The 18:12 was No. 5 overall in the section for the season.
