Pet food drive to help pets in need in Valley

The Fresno BeeDecember 19, 2013

Halo Café and Oakhurst Feed and Pet Supply are holding a pet food drive on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 4180 W. Alamos Ave., warehouse #109 in Fresno.

Organizers will accept monetary and food donations in hopes of reaching the goal of 1,000 pounds of food. Every dollar donated will count as 1 pound of pet food.

Halo Café, a Fresno-based nonprofit organization, provides pet food for dogs and cats to individuals and families who can't afford it. The group holds bi-monthly food distributions that feed 250 to 500 hungry animals at each event.
