A traffic accident Tuesday afternoon just north of Visalia caused a natural gas leak and closed a road, the California Highway Patrol said.
According to the CHP traffic conditions website, a black Toyota Tacoma pickup spun out of control and hit a gas main.
The accident occurred about 4 p.m. and no injuries were reported, according to CHP traffic information. Road 132 has been closed 1/2 mile north and south of the intersection with Avenue 320 while the Southern California Gas Co. fixes the leak.
Tulare County Fire battalion chief Mike Green said firefighters were on hand in case the gas ignited.
